Tuition Tea

Tuition tea

There are times when the tea we buy do not meet our expectations and preferences, worst still we had been sold fake tea. This is the meaning behind “tuition tea”. Tuition tea affects all tea enthusiasts who buy tea, more so when you are growing your experience and understanding. Consequently tuition tea is viewed unfavorably and is routinely disregarded, even thrown out. That said not all tuition tea are terrible and even so what appeared as a misfortune can be a blessing in disguise. The value of tuition tea does not lie through enjoyment but in offering an opportunity to delve into areas that we would otherwise skip over. As tea drinkers we overlook that our one sided pursuit for good tea blinds us to the bigger picture. Occasionally drinking bad and not so good tea for study can greatly widen our perception and deepen our appreciation for tea. This practice will also develop and sharpen our senses to recognize flaws and problems within a tea. Personally I have found this to elevate my ability to assess tea especially under a challenging condition like evaluating younger puerh for ageing, when the flaws can appear negligible and the problems have yet to fully reveal themselves over the course of time. Whilst an individual’s aptitude to taste and smell will vary, it can be improved upon and the ability to reduce risk through screening to any degree is valuable. All in all self-growth will ensure smarter decisions are made in the future.
