An observation of the tea leaves

Comparing Liu An tea leaves side by side in pairs i) 1950s Sun Yishun and 1970s Sun Yishun, ii) 1970s Sun Yishun and 2005 Liu An. The fine shape and consistency of the tea leaves from the 1950s Liu An is striking. This supports the many accounts from older tea collectors that the Liu An Sun Yishun tea from the 1950s and before were meticulously processed and demanded intensive human labor. The appearance of the tea leaves becomes coarser and less refine in newer productions, a result of the changing times.
